URUGUAY international Diego Rolan is again being lined up by Newcastle in case they fail to land QPR's Charlie Austin.

 

Bordeaux striker Rolan, 22, is part of the Plan B put in place by the club if they cannot persuade QPR to slice £3m off their £15m valuation of Austin.

Rangers manager Chris Ramsey accepts that Austin is likely to leave Loftus Road before the transfer deadline, but the fee remains an obstacle.

The former Burnley forward is interested in a switch to St James' Park but fears Newcastle will look elsewhere if a deal cannot be agreed.
