Axel Witsel wants to move to Italy
AXEL WITSEL says he wants to play in Italy - despite interest from Premier League clubs.

The Belgium international, 26, insists he will not renew his contract with Zenit St Petersburg and is actively seeking a switch to the Serie A.
“I don’t have any intention of renewing my contract with Zenit because I want to have an experience in Italy,” Corriere dello Sport claim Witsel said to his representatives.

Juventus are known suitors of Witsel, while Premier League sides Manchester United and Chelsea were also keen on him earlier in the summer.
United were said to be considering a move before manager Louis van Gaal landed Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven.

And Chelsea also reportedly had an offer for the player rejected, after which they turned their focus on Pedro, who joined the club from Barcelona last week.
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is seeking midfield enforcements before the transfer window shuts next Tuesday.

The boss has already signed Sami Khedira, Roberto Pereyra and loanee Juan Guillermo Cuadrado this summer to pack his midfield.
But, as they continue their pursuit of Tottenham's Erik Lamela, it is also understood a late bid for Witsel will also be made.
