NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you the latest transfer news from Old Trafford
Michael Carrick has reportedly turned down the chance to join Angel Di Maria at Paris Saint-Germain.
ESPN report Laurent Blanc wanted the England international for his invaluable experience at Champions League level.
However, Carrick, who signed a new deal with United in March, apparently has no plans to leave Old Trafford.
Sergio Ramos is still keen on a move to Manchester, according to reports in Spain.
AS Diario report that the defender has not signed a five-year deal with Real Madrid and is open to a move to Old Trafford.
Ramos is apparently frustrated by the La Liga side for suggesting new terms had been agreed, believing it was a ploy to force him to agree new terms.
Rafael is close to leaving Manchester United after flying to France for a medical with Lyon.
Club president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed the deal on Twitter, saying: "Rafael has arrived and we expect to reach an agreement with Manchester United. He’s a cheerful Brazilian!"
The 25-year-old joined United in 2008 along with his twin brother Fabio and went on to make 100 appearances for the Red Devils.
