Asassin's Creed: Syndicate's story will include the modern era |
ASSASSIN'S Creed fans have been promised they won't be disappointed by Syndicate's direction in terms of storyline and gameplay.
Fans of the series will get to see the Assassins and Templars duke it out again, in the past and in the modern day era.
Indeed, Ubisoft have confirmed that AC: Syndicate will usher in a new story-arc that has been in transition since Black Flag's launch.
It seems fans can expect a few shake ups in terms of where the story is heading, something Ubisoft aren't ready to talk about as of yet.
Speaking to Gamespot, Marc-Alexis Cote, Assassin's Creed Syndicate's creative director explained: "I can’t go into details about the present-day story, other than to say it is coming back.
"it is going to make sense for our players, and they’re going to understand the conflict between the Assassins and the Templars.
"One of the things that’s been super important for me and for the team is to make sure the player feels in the present-day story that he or she has importance.
"The overarching story is divided up into cycles. So we had what we called the Desmond cycle, which ended with AC3. Black Flag was the transition point between the Desmond cycle and the new cycle."
Ubisoft have gone to great lengths to show off some of Syndicates top gaming qualities, with some of the top revelations listed below.
- Multi-kills can be achieved by beating up a group of enemies and leaving them all on the edge before launching a brutal finisher
- Horses can be used to slow down chasing foes.
- Bodies can now be picked up and placed in multiple hiding spots.
- Throwing knives can be used to gather enemy activity under big droppable items.
- You can now watch your character get chopped up a treat if you happen to lose a fight.
- There will be events in the game where players will be able to influence a situation ahead of time by removing enemies.
