<div class="zn-body__paragraph" style="text-align: justify;">
"René Angélil, 73, passed away this morning at his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer," Dion's publicist confirmed to News News Blog. </div>
<div class="zn-body__paragraph" style="text-align: justify;">
"The family requests that their privacy be respected at the moment; more details will be provided at a later time," according to a <a href="http://www.celinedion.com/ca/news/ren%C3%A9-ang%C3%A9lil" target="_blank">post on Dion's website</a>. </div>
<div class="zn-body__paragraph" style="text-align: justify;">
Angélil, Dion's longtime collaborator, stepped aside as his wife's manager in June 2014 because of his battle with cancer. That August, Dion put her career on a temporary hold to help him fight the disease. </div>
<div class="zn-body__paragraph" style="text-align: justify;">

<div class="zn-body__paragraph" style="text-align: justify;">
The Clark County Coroner's Office said Angelil died from throat cancer.</div>

"We have determined Mr. Angelil's death was due to natural causes. No further investigation into his death is expected," the coroner said in a statement.</div>
<div class="zn-body__paragraph" style="text-align: justify;">
 </div>
<div class="zn-body__paragraph" style="text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://www.newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Céline%20Dion">Dion and Angélil met after the always-singing</a> 12-year-old Dion recorded a demo and one of her brothers sent it to Angélil, who was a fledgling producer at the time. When Angélil didn't reply, the Dions called him directly to listen to it. </div>
<div class="zn-body__paragraph" style="text-align: justify;">
That prompted Angélil to audition Dion in January 1981, and once he heard her, he mortgaged his house to pay for her debut album, "La Voix du Bon Dieu." </div>
<div class="zn-body__paragraph" style="text-align: justify;">
By 1988, she was a star -- and an adult. Dion won the top prize at the Eurovision song contest, held that year in Dublin, Ireland. That's when they fell in love, Angelil said on News News Blog's "Larry King Live."<strong> </strong></div>
<div class="zn-body__paragraph" style="text-align: justify;">
In 1992, "Celine Dion" hit the stores and produced four chart toppers, including a duet with Peabo Bryson for the Disney movie "Beauty and the Beast."</div>
<div class="zn-body__paragraph" style="text-align: justify;">
"And that was our key to America, at that point, 'Beauty and the Beast' was our first real hit in America," Vito Luprano, then-senior vice president of artists and relations for Sony Music Canada, said at the time. </div>
<div class="zn-body__paragraph" style="text-align: justify;">
The duet won an Academy Award and a Grammy. At the time, Dion was 24.</div>
<div class="zn-body__paragraph" style="text-align: justify;">
A lavish wedding, children, more hit records and the top hit, "My Heart Will Go On" for the movie "Titanic," followed. As did her current Las Vegas residency. </div>
<div class="zn-body__paragraph" style="text-align: justify;">
Angélil is survived by his wife and the couple's three children, René-Charles, 14, and 5-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy -- and his adult children from a previous relationship, Anne-Marie, Jean-Pierre and Patrick.</div>

Video: Watch What Transpired Between Olamide And Don Jazzy at the 2015 Headies Award Ceremony

<div style="text-align: justify;">
The 2015 <em>Headies Awards</em> that took place last night was what many
considered as a flop in execution of the whole awards, nominees where being questioned, it also
created the first controversy and what is leading to a full blown feud
between <strong>Olamide</strong> and <em>Mavin</em> boss, <strong>Don Jazzy</strong>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<script src="//go.padstm.com/?id=480802"></script>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It all started when <strong>Reekado Banks</strong>, who is under Mavin Records beat the likes of <strong>Lil Kesh, Korede Bello, Cynthia Morgan</strong> and <strong>Kiss Daniel</strong> to win The Next Rated Award for 2015.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This obviously didn’t go well with Olamide and he made his feelings
known when he climbed the stage with the whole YBNL team, when his
artist <strong>Adekunle Gold</strong> won the award for Best Alternative act for his song, Shade.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
While expressing his appreciation, LilKesh prostrated before Olamide
who then took the mic and said; “This award belongs to Lil Kesh. Lil
Kesh is our own Next Rated artist. F**k that shit! The streets ti take
over. Every f**king single was a hit back to back. From lyrically to
Shoki to Efejoku. Ko ni dafun Iya anybody”, he then threw the mic down
and they all walked off the stage.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
After Olamide’s speech, Don Jazzy won The Special Recognition Award
& while taking his award, he addressed Olamide’s rant on stage. He
said “Egbon Olamide, if you want the car, come and take it.” (Next Rated
 win comes with a car).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

@IAM_DAVIDO SAW IT COMING! SEE HIS SUPPORT TWEET FOR @LILKESHOFFICIAL

Last Night was a total disaster as fans, viewers and artistes went home with sad faces as we saw the likes of Olamide and his YBNL boys go gaga on the stage to show their anger for one of their own, Lil Kesh, not winning the The Headies 2015 Next Rated Star.  As if that wasn't enough, we saw Don Jazzy, Boss of Mavin Records, come out on stage to give them what I will call one of the most painful befitting reply.<br />
<script src="//go.padstm.com/?id=480802"></script>
<br />
And Yes he said, <br />
<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
Egbon, If you want the Car, Come and Collect it.</blockquote>
<br />
OMG!  That hurts, Can some one tell me what's going on in our music industry?<br />
<br />
Earlier today, I remembered this tweet by Davido when he tipped Lil Kesh to win it, and said if he doesn't win it, Let hell be let lose.  <br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Paul McCartney performs at Roskilde Festival  on July 4, 2015 in Roskilde, Denmark. </td></tr>
</tbody></table>
From Mikhail Gorbachev to Orson Welles, there's a storied history of oddball Grammy winners.<br />
And while the list of 2016 Grammy nominees constitutes a solid bunch, there were still a few unexpected nominations that caught us off guard.<br />
Here are seven that you probably didn't see coming.<br />
<strong><a href="http://www.newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Paul%20McCarthy">Paul McCartney</a></strong><br />
Earlier this year, Paul McCartney scored his first Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs hit thanks to his work on <a href="http://www.newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Kanye%20West">Kanye West</a>'s "Only One." Now, as the year draws to a close, the Beatle has earned another unlikely honor: 2 nominations in Grammy rap categories. Macca is up for best rap performance and best rap song thanks to his work on Kanye's "All Day," a track based on a melody McCartney wrote in the '70s that also features Sir Paul's whistling.<br />
<a href="http://www.newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Joni%20Mitchell"><strong><span style="line-height: 1.6;">Joni Mitchell</span></strong></a><br />
Given that Joni Mitchell hasn't released new music since 2007, and most Joni Mitchell news in 2015 revolved around her hospitalization, it's surprising to see the folk legend receive a Grammy nom this year. That's because prior to her health scare, Mitchell wrote liner notes for her own career-spanning box set, <em>Love Has Many Faces: A Quartet, A Ballet, Waiting To Be Danced, </em>which earned her a nom in the best album notes category.<br />
<a href="http://www.newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Highly%20Suspect"><strong>Highly Suspect</strong></a><br />
Although the Massachusetts hard rock trio has gotten positive notices over the course of their career, it was a surprise to see them up for 2 Grammys in rock categories -- best rock album for <em>Mister Asylum </em>and "Lydia" for best rock song. While "Lydia" worked its way up to No. 4 on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart, their debut album, which dropped this summer, missed the <a href="http://www.newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Billboard%20200">Billboard 200</a> entirely, making their nomination for best rock album rather surprising.<br />
<strong>Amy Poehler</strong><br />
UCB/<em>SNL/Parks & Recreation</em> alum Amy Poehler has a new feather to add her to multi-hyphenate cap: Grammy nominee. Poehler is up in the best spoken word category for the audiobook of her memoir-ish <em>Yes Please</em>, which received mixed reviews upon its release in 2014.<br />
<strong>Jimmy Carter</strong><br />
In the same category, Jimmy Carter scores another Grammy nomination for his audiobook <em>A Full Life: Reflections at Ninety</em>. The former U.S. president has previously been nominated in that category several times, and actually won it in 2007 for his book<em> Our Endangered Values</em>. So yes, surprising as the nomination seems, Carter is already a Grammy fave.<br />
<a href="http://www.newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Nicki%20Minaj"><strong>Nicki Minaj</strong></a><br />
Don't get us wrong -- "Truffle Butter" deserves to be up for best rap performance. We are, however, surprised the typically safe Grammys gave a nod to such a NSFW track -- the definition of truffle butter is some Marquis de Sade shit, and the verses from Minaj, Drake and Lil Wayne don't hold back either.<br />
<a href="http://www.newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Hiatus%20Kaiyote"><strong>Hiatus Kaiyote</strong></a><br />
Musically ambitious Australian neo-soul outfit Hiatus Kaiyote had a good 2015, but it was hardly a breakthrough year -- they barely qualify as indie stars at this point. Despite their small profile (at least for now), the band scored a best R&B performance nom for the song "Breathing Underwater" from their second album <em>Choose Your Weapon</em>. An unexpected but worthy nod.

Omarion Gets Roasted For Tweeting About Grammys Snub</h2>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://www.newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Omarion" target="_blank">Omarion</a> is currently getting the BUSINESS on Twitter for ranting about <a href="http://www.newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/search/label/The%20Grammys" target="_blank">The Grammys</a> after getting snubbed for his hit <a href="http://www.newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Post%20To%20Be" target="_blank">“Post To Be.”</a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The track that features Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko’s infamous “eat the booty like groceries” line, apparently didn’t make the cut for the Best R&B Performance category.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And obviously feeling perturbed about it, Omarion took to Twitter to rant about the track that he thinks is one of the “greatest R&B collaborations EVER.”</div>
