WEST HAM are reportedly lining up an ambitious bid of £6 million for Leicester striker Andrej Kramaric.
Slaven Bilic’s side are keen to add to their striking firepower, but only if they offload certain individuals to free up wages first.
Kramaric has been told by Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri that he would not stand in his way of leaving, having fallen down the pecking order at the King Power Stadium.
The Foxes’ record signing, who joined the Midlands club for £9 million last January, attracted the interest of Leicester following his prolific goalscoring form in Croatia at Rijeka.
However, with Jamie Vardy lighting up the Premier League while Leonardo Ulloa and Shinji Okazaki offer decent strike partners or second options, Kramaric has lacked much first-team football.
According to the Brentwood Gazette, the Hammers are ready to swoop. With Diafra Sakho out injured, striking options are slightly limited at Upton Park.
Kramaric has only featured twice this term in the Premier League, and both those appearances came from the bench in Leicester’s only two league defeats against Arsenal and Liverpool.
Two goals in 13 top-flight games last campaign coincided with Leicester’s revival and eventual survival, but things have gone downhill personally for him since.
The Croatian link may be a key factor in the approach from West ham as boss Bilic is a compatriot of the 24-year-old international striker.
