Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney: Beating rivals Liverpool is a 'special feeling'
Wayne Rooney celebrates scoring in Manchester United's 1-0 win over Liverpool

The 30-year-old Liverpool-born striker ensured Manchester United secured all three points when his 78th-minute volley after Marouane Fellaini's effort came off the bar rocketed past Simon Mignolet and into the net at Anfield.
This was Rooney's fifth goal in four games and it saw him surpass Thierry Henry's club record number of goals for Arsenal (175).

Rooney has come under criticism this season for his lack of goals, but he seems somewhat rejuvenated after helping United reclaim fifth spot in the Premier League table.
"This is a special feeling, obviously. It is always great to score at your rivals and, against Liverpool for this football club [Manchester United], it is a massive result. On a personal note it doesn't get much better," Rooney said.

"For my goal, I know Simon Mignolet is a very good goalkeeper and there were players trying to cover so I just tried to put my foot through it and take whoever was in the way with it! Thankfully it went in and won us the game.
"Today the performance wasn't that important - the result was all that mattered."
Next up for the Red Devils is a home game against Southampton next Saturday (3pm).
