MANCHESTER UNITED have given a trial to 16-year-old Matthew Knox, according to reports.
The striker currently plays for Livingston and was on the bench for the Scottish club's 4-1 defeat to Rangers at the weekend.
Knox has been on the books at the Scottish side since he was 11 after being given his chance on a work experience placement by former Celtic and Portsmouth forward Mark Burchill.
He became the club's youngest ever player when he made his debut in the 4-1 Boxing Day win over St Mirren.
But he caught the eye of United in the summer with his display in a friendly against Real Sociedad.
And the Daily Mail claim he travelled to Manchester on Monday for a trial and he will spend the week at United's Carrington training complex.
The 16-year-old has also attracted interest from other Premier League sides, with Everton, Liverpool, Tottenham already handing him trials and Chelsea are also known to be interested.
During his week with Everton, he was looked after by captain Phil Jagielka, while Tottenham allowed him to watch the first team train after he played in games for their youth sides.
United staff will assess him this week before deciding if they want to follow up their interest.
