JOE ALLEN admits Liverpool's persistence paid off against Arsenal.
The Reds looked set to be consigned to another defeat before substitute Allen came on to nick a point for the home side.
Allen replaced Emre Can eight minutes before the end and sealed a draw with an impeccable side-footed finish.
And Allen has admitted Liverpool's never-say-die attitude ultimately helped them salvage something from the game.
"It's nice to come on and have an influence on the game," Allen said.
"We've got that attitude of going to the final whistle.
We kept at it and thankfully we have come away with something.
"They have come here in great form. Everyone knows the threat they pose. I'm sure it was exciting for everybody to watch."
