JAN VERTONGHEN insists he is taking comfort from the fact that losing to the team second in the table is seen as an upset - it is a sign that Spurs are finally up where they belong.

left Mauricio Pochettino's side in fourth place, but judging by the reaction, clearly there is a belief that the North London club should be higher.
"We have been playing very well this season so every time we don’t win it becomes an ‘incident’," Vertonghen said. "That’s a very good sign I think. We know we will be ready again come Saturday when we will be doing everything we can to win again."
Tottenham had plenty of chances to beat Leicester but Vertonghen is concerned his side were not as clinical as their opponents.
 
"We wanted to win obviously so yes I am very disappointed," he said. "They played their same game. They play the ball up to their strikers and are good from set pieces. We knew they would do that. They play that game very well.
"And when they don’t have the ball they all defend. But it works for them.
"They know what they are doing in every single way. Everyone knows what their qualities are. It’s frustrating but they prepare well.
 
"We had a lot of corners and it is true we maybe need to do more with them.
"We have had a great season and scored a lot of goals. It is just in the last couple of games things have not gone so well.
"Normally we don’t succeed from set pieces. It might be something we have to look at."
