JUVENTUS are in pole position to sign Rolando Mandragora from Italian club Genoa.
A number of English clubs have been linked with the 18-year-old, who is currently on loan at Serie B side Pescara, including Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool.
Slaven Bilic’s West Ham have also shown an interest in the midfielder, but according to Sky Sports Italia, Juve have an agreement in place over the player and are now set to meet his agent, Vincent Piscane.
The Napoli-born player made his Serie A debut in October 2014 as Genoa beat his prospective purchasers Juventus 1-0 at home, and this summer made his Italy under-21 debut, before heading out to Pescara on loan.
Madragora is best know for playing just in front of the defence and has drawn comparisons to Marco Verratti, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain, another club said to be keeping an eye on the Italian youngster’s development.
Despite his tender years, he is a stalwart in the Pescara starting line-up, with 16 appearances so far this season, driving Pescara up to fourth in Serie B.
The only concern for potential suitors to the youngster might be his disciplinary record, having already pick up eight yellow cards so far this season.
