Louis van Gaal unveils plans for Manchester United's future
Louis van Gaal says he will stick to his policy of using academy players
LOUIS VAN GAAL has revealed his plans to field more Manchester United youngsters as the season progresses.

The Dutchman has already showed faith in a number of young talents this season, playing Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira on many occasions.
Academy defenders Axel Tuanzebe and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, who came off the bench against West Brom to make his senior debut, have also been included in the last two Premier League squads.

And Van Gaal has admitted he will continue with his youth-based approach, keeping his squad small in order to offer young players chances in the first team.
"It is the way I lead this club. I don’t want a big selection because when you have a big selection it doesn’t give any chance to the young players," he said.

“That is why I have sold a lot of players and have a lot out on loan. It means we only have a squad of 21 outfield players and three goalkeepers.
“So when there are injuries and illnesses I have to look at the youth allocation with my youth coaches Warren Joyce and Paul McGuinness.

"I can also see myself how they play in the second team or the U19s and I have to decide which player.
"Of course, it is also a matter of the vacancies in the positions. Last time we had Tuanzebe because Phil Jones was ill.
“Now I have asked [the youth set-up] for a left full-back because I knew in advance that Marcos Rojo would have problems playing so many matches in a row."
