Jose Mourinho thinks a precedent has been set with his stadium ban |
JOSE MOURINHO has warned his Premier League counterparts to watch their future conduct or face the prospect of a stadium ban.
The Chelsea manager will serve a one-macth stadium ban as his side take on Stoke tomorrow.
He was slapped with the punishment after admitting a misconduct charge for his language and/or behaviour towards referee Jonathan Moss during his side's defeat to West Ham at Upton Park last month.
And Mourinho hinted that it might set a precedent for his rival managers.
Already this season, the Portuguese has been involved in a spat with Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger,
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp appeared to exchange some heated words with Blues assistant Jose Morais last week, while Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is no stranger to controversy.
"When I go into the punishment, it opens a range of options," Mourinho said.
"I imagine there will be lots of managers with stadium bans in the future. Bans should be something really serious in terms of aggression, using words I don't want to use.
"This one is about words, about campaigns.
"It could happen a lot more. Unless we have our association or other associations around Europe to talk about the rights of the managers and having stadium bans as I mentioned.
"From my point of view, from my side, I want to be out of it. I want to let the game tomorrow finish. That's it."
