BETHESDA have revealed some of the major themes tied to Fallout 4’s story ahead of release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
That’s according to a new trailer released from the studio this week, showcasing new gameplay and quest events.
The redemption of mankind appears to play a major role and fits in well with Bethesda’s new settlement building feature.
Players will be able to create their own places within the wasteland and therefore have a say in how it’s future is shaped.
Saving humanity will include deciding the fates of those synthetic humans created by the Institute, while the Brotherhood of Steel look set to return as a major faction.
One character can be heard saying: “This campaign will be costly but in the end we will be saving humankind from its worst enemy, itself.”
While another adds: “Haven’t you been paying attention?
“You don’t find the Institute, the Institute finds you.”
Bethesda recently launched Fallout 4’s tie-in Pip-Boy App, available for free on iOS, Android and Windows mobile devices.
It includes mini-games to be played alongside the main title, as well as checking your Stats, Inventory, Map, Radio and holotape games.
An official description from Bethesda explains: “This app lets your portable device interact with Fallout 4 on your Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or PC. Away from your game system? No problem!
“Pip-Boy will remember your status and allow you to access your data while on the go.”
Fans curious to find out more have been given the chance few various leaks posted online this week, showing off segments of the game’s locations and story interactions.
Fallout 4 is officially released on November 10 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, while owners of Microsoft’s new-gen console also have the chance to pick up Fallout 3 by pre-ordering the game.
It’s interesting to note that Bethesda are treating Fallout 4 as the official follow up to Fallout 3 and it is unclear if there will be any crossover in terms of characters or events with the previous title.
