EDEN HAZARD has promised to start scoring goals again, but no-one at Chelsea is happy with the way things are.
The Blues travelled to White Hart Lane yesterday to face high-flying Tottenham, coming away with a point which in the context of a dismal season was a positive result, with a cleansheet that has been all too rare.
Meanwhile at the other end of the pitch Hazard, who was voted Chelsea's player of the year the last two seasons, hasn't scored in 17 league games, and played as a striker against Spurs but was unable to break the deadlock.
"Me, I just want to play," he told L'Equipe. "It doesn't really matter if it's on the left or through the middle. I try to give it my all.
"The debate is down to my productivity this season, which is not as good... well really nowhere near as good as last season.
"Today I played No. 9. I gave everything. Confidence will come back, the goals will come back and, after that, there will no longer be a debate about my position."
Hazard's struggles have made him the subject of rife transfer speculation, with Real Madrid reportedly at the head of the queue to sign the 24-year-old.
With Chelsea languishing in 14th place in the Premier League, it is hardly surprising that Europe's big clubs have shown some interest in the 2014 Ballon d'Or nominee.
The Belgian has also been criticised by boss Jose Mourinho, and while he admitted the mood around Chelsea is not good, he denied that the relationship between the players and the manager has become a problem.
"When results don't follow, you always try to nit pick," he said. "He's not happy and that's normal when we're not winning.
"Us, the players, are not happy either. But there are no problems between us."
