Joel Campbell is keen to carve out a long and successful career at Arsenal, according to his agent Joaquim Batica.
His future appeared to be uncertain after failing to break into the first-team since signing for the club four years ago.
However, after netting his first goal for the Gunners against Swansea last week, he appears to have been given fresh hope that his long-term future lies in north London.
"He was very happy after scoring his first Premier League goal," Batica told The Metro.
"He just wants to be successful and win trophies for Arsenal. That’s all he is focused on."
Another player who might well be joining Campbell at Arsenal is Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda.
The 19-year-old Belgian is highly rated but frustrated at a lack of opportunities at Stamford bridge.
And the Gunners could be the benefactors as they are waiting in the wings to pounce if he is made available.
Monaco will provide competition, according to The Daily Mirror, but Arsene Wenger is known to be a long-term admirer.
Reports claim he even made an £8million in the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, the Gunners will be buoyed by an encouraging stat that proves they have a far better defence than Sunday's opponents Tottenham.
