Agent refuses to guarantee Lazio stay for Manchester United, Liverpool and Inter target
Lazio do not want to sell their captain Lucas Biglia
MANCHESTER UNITED'S hopes of signing Lazio ace Lucas Biglia have received a huge boost after the player's agent suggested his future may lie away from Rome.

Biglia, 29, is wanted by a host of clubs, namely United and Liverpool.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez is also keen on the Argentina international.
And while Lazio insist their man is going nowhere, agent Enzo Montepaone told Tuttomercatoweb that a move is possible.

“A renewal at Lazio is not a certainty,” Montepaone said.
“There are lots of clubs, in Serie A and around Europe, looking at the player.
“I will meet with Lazio personally in the next few days, but it is not a sure thing.”

United's interest in Biglia stemmed from the summer when they reportedly tried to land the ace but were stumped by Lazio's refusal to negotiate.
Manager Louis van Gaal eventually signed Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger to the midfield but has recently discussed the need to bolster his squad further.
As for Liverpool, Biglia was touted as the man to take over from Lucas after the latter's bust-up with former manager Brendan Rodgers led to his exclusion from the squad at the start of the season.
Lucas was expected to quit the Anfield side for Turkey but Liverpool failed to line up a replacement and the Brazilian was eventually accepted back into the first team.

Biglia's current contract ends in the summer of 2018 and Lazio are in no immediate rush to extend his deal.
He has impressed in Rome since his 2013 transfer from Anderlecht and this season has scored four goals in nine outings.
An injury ruled him out for almost a month in early September but he has come back to form as Lazio challenge for the Serie A title.

So good have his performances been that rivals Inter are also said to be keen on buying him and Montepaone would not deny the midfielder is interested in the link.
“He is happy in the colours of Lazio, but we cannot deny his reputation is growing around the world," he added.
“We need to think about what is best for his career. There are a lot of teams interested and Inter are just one of them.
“It is still too early to discuss a potential January transfer. There are many possibilities.”
