Victor Wanyama played a key role in the Southampton midfield as they beat Chelsea 3-1 on Saturday |
Wanyama became unsettled in the transfer window after he was the subject of several bids from former Saints manager Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs.
Current chief Ronald Koeman stood firm and refused to sell the 24-year-old after sanctioning the sale of last season's midfield partner Morgan Schneiderlin to Manchester United.
And despite reports that Wanyama tried to force a move by handing in a transfer request, he insists he now focussed on life at St Mary's.

"I just don't want to remember that situation. Now I've forgotten what happened," he said.
"I'm now progressing at my club and it's been good, so I'm looking forward to putting in good performances."
The saga prompted a bitter war of words between the two sides, with Saints claiming they would refuse to do business with Spurs in the future.
However, the Kenya international is only concerned by football matters and has played a key role as the south coast club found form in recent weeks.
Despite struggling at the start of the campaign, after selling a host of players for the second successive summer, Koeman's side have won their last three games in all competitions, scoring 12 goals.
They beat current Premier League champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge 3-1 in their last outing.
A win at home to Leicester in their next game on October 17 would make it three successive league victories.a
