Thomas Muller reveals Chelsea ‘horror’
Thomas Muller scored Bayern's opener during the 2012 final
CHELSEA winning the 2012 Champions League in Bayern Munich’s own stadium was “like a horror show”, claims Thomas Muller.

The Blues won their first European Cup trophy on penalties during a nervy final in Munich.
Germany international Muller thought he had won it for Bayern when squeezing home the opening goal with seven remaining.

He was subbed off in the 87th minute but moments later Didier Drogba bagged his famous leveller and Chelsea held on in extra time to force an ultimately successful shoot-out.
And, reflecting back, Muller told the Mail on Sunday of his frustrations at losing the game in such circumstances.
“That was very tough because we all knew we were the better team and that we should have won the match,” he said.

“It was madness. I was exhausted after 85 minutes and said we might want to think about a substitution.
“And then you think there’s only another five minutes to go. The game will be over, you’d have won and all’s well.
“Then you’re faced with that **** situation. It was like watching a horror film.”

Bayern earned a swift reprieve for their defeat, winning the Champions League the following season with a 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.
Since then they have won a further two Bundesliga titles (taking their German championship haul to 25) a 17th German Cup and the FIFA World Club Cup.
Chelsea, meanwhile, sacked their Champions League-winning manager Roberto Di Matteo and replaced him with now-Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez, who steered the club to Europa League victory in 2013 before Jose Mourinho took over.
