Christian Eriksen scored twice for Spurs at the Liberty Stadium |
CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN saved Tottenham as Harry Kane's gaffe almost cost the London club at the Liberty Stadium.
Andre Ayew's powerful opener and Kane's failed clearance from a corner twice put the Swans in front.
But Eriksen came to the rescue as he fired home free-kicks either side of half time.
Andros Townsend forced one final effort as Spurs sought a win and Federico Fernandez hit the bar at the other end - but both sides were forced to settle for a point.
Kane went into the match having broken his Premier League duck against Manchester City in Spurs' 4-1 victory last weekend.

But Mauricio Pochettino's side failed to cope with Swansea's energetic midfield as Ghana international Ayew opened the scoring when he headed home winger Jefferson Montero's dinked cross.
Spurs responded well and equalised through Dane Eriksen, who benefitted from lapse goalkeeper from Lukasz Fabianski when he lashed home a straightforward free-kick.
But within minutes Swansea were back in front through Kane. The 22-year-old, who bagged 21 league goals for Spurs last season, rushed a clearance on the near post from Jonjo Shelvey's corner and volleyed into the roof of the net.

Swansea sought to extend their advantage but Montero and Gylfi Sigurdsson were both denied, before Bafetimbi Gomis came within inches of connecting with an Ayew cross.
And Swansea were made to rue those missed chances when Eriksen again thundered home - this time the midfielder finding the top corner and leaving Fabianski with no chance.
Both sides laboured to find a winner - Townsend testing Fabianski with a neat drive - but it never came as Fernandez thundered a final header off the Spurs crossbar.
