Jurgen Klopp appeared to confirm talks with Liverpool after speaking to a German journalist
JURGEN KLOPP has refused to rule out taking the Liverpool manager's job but stopped short of denying it either.
The German spoke for the first time since it emerged about replacing Brendan Rodgers at Anfield.
When asked by a journalist form German newspaper Bild, he replied: "There's nothing to say. Neither a definite yes nor a definite no. I'm going home now."
Klopp appeared to confirm reports that talks had taken place between Liverpool and his representatives.
Owners Fenway Sports Group are hoping to have the former Borussia Dortmund chief in place by the end of this week and are desperate to ensure they have a permanent manager for their next Premier League game at Tottenham on October 17.
