Arsenal need cover for Francis Coquelin in order to mount title challenge - Jamie Redknapp

FORMER Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp thinks Arsenal need to strengthen in midfield if they want to challenge for the title.

The Gunners rash out 3-0 winners against Watford on Saturday and are just two points behind table-toppers Manchester City in the table.
Midfield has been an area of Arsene Wenger's side that has been routinely criticised over the years.
Since the emergence of Francis Coquelin, the Gunners appear to be more solid.

But Redknapp fears that the Gunners' title chances could fade if Coquelin gets injured and they don't get cover.
"Another 3-0 win for Arsenal and they are right in this title race," Redknapp wrote in his column for the Daily Mail.
"They've made a much better start than last season and if they finish this campaign as strongly then they have a fantastic chance.

"But the January transfer window is going to be key.
"Of course they'd love to sign somebody like Karim Benzema but that's not going to happen, especially if Arsenal go out of the Champions League. But there's money in the bank and they should look to reinforce.
There's plenty of quality but if someone like Francis Coquelin gets injured, is there enough cover? They must be decisive because this is a real opportunity.
