BRENTFORD have sacked head coach Marinus Dijkhuizen after just eight league games and has been replaced by Lee Carsley.
The Bees have also parted company with assistant Roy Hendriskon with the players understood to be unhappy with the his training methods, claim GreatWestLondon.
Dijkhuizen replaced highly-rated former boss Mark Warburton in the summer with owner Matthew Benham opting for the Duthcman as part of his restructuring surrounding statistics.
Brentford have made a poor start to the Championship season, winning just twice in their opening eight games, and sit just above the relegation zone in 19th place.
Carsley's appoitment comes after impressing with his management of the club's development side.
A club statement read: "Brentford Football Club can confirm that the club, head coach Marinus Dijkhuizen and his assistant, Roy Hendriksen, have parted company.
"The club would like to put on record its thanks to Marinus and Roy for all their efforts during their time at Griffin Park.

"Lee Carsley has been promoted to Head Coach until the end of the season when the position will be reviewed.
"Lee has vast experience of the English game and has hugely impressed with his work with the Club's Development Squad. He will be assisted by Paul Williams.
"The club believes Lee deserves the opportunity to step up and help shape Brentford FC's future on the pitch.
"Chairman Cliff Crown will update supporters via the Brentford FC website this afternoon."
Dijkhuizen's reign at Brentford was the shortest in the club's history.
