Spurs seek to slash £3m off West Brom demands as Pochettino reveals transfer plans
West Brom are prepared to treble Saido Berahino's wages to keep him at the Hawthorns
TOTTENHAM are preparing a second bid for Saido Berahino worth £22million - but it may not be enough to force West Brom's hand, according to reports.

West Brom turned down a reported £15m approach for their star striker earlier this month.
It is understood the Baggies want at least £25m for 22-year-old Berahino.

But Spurs believe their offer will convince bosses at the Hawthorns to reluctantly sell the England U21 ace, claim the Independent.
Berahino has just two years left on his £15,000-a-week contract and talks have begun with Baggies officials over a new deal.
West Brom are willing to treble his wages to keep him sweet, having signed forwards Rickie Lambert and Salomon Rondon to play alongside him this season.

Spurs, meanwhile, brought Lyon striker Clinton Njie to the club earlier this month and manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen to add more firepower to his forward line.
Njie may partner Harry Kane for Spurs' clash at Leicester tomorrow (3pm), with Emmanuel Adebayor set to follow Roberto Soldado out of the club before deadline day.
"Players always want to play with the best players," Pochettino said when discussing transfers yesterday. "Harry (Kane) showed last year, he was the second-top scorer in the league.

"Players are excited to share, to join us, because Harry is a big player.
"But it's not only this. It's about showing the philosophy, about being a big club, having the possibility to play for Tottenham.
"And this season we can play in two different options, two different systems. We worked very hard in the pre-season to improve, because we need to play in different ways.
"Like we played against Stoke, with two strikers, Nacer Chadli and Harry Kane. We can play in a different system, I think we have players for it. And in different games we can use different set-ups.
"And Harry will benefit from having another striker.
"Yes, always, it is important for us. We have players like Chadli, Erik Lamela, and now Clinton Njie, who can play like a striker, but I think we need one more striker to be sure for different games. We need one more offensive player.
"Harry may need a rest, you never know.
"Sometimes the players will get illness, sick, something wrong happens which changes their level and then they need to be managed in a different way than you expect."
