Kristina Rihanoff was reported to police by Ben Cohen's mother-in-law Felicity Bassouls |
BEN COHEN'S mother-in-law reported his new girlfriend, Kristina Rihanoff, to police after a spat broke out between them on Twitter.
Felicity Bassouls, 67, said she was "offended" when the Strictly Come Dancing star tagged her into a "bullying" comment which appeared to describe her as "sick".
Replying to a fan's post, Kristina, 37, wrote: "By Idiot you mean your sick friend who was charged with harassment? She will be charged again it's a promise.
Felicity claimed Kristina had sent her an offensive tweet |
Kristina and Ben met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2013 |
Believing the tweet was aimed at her, Felicity then responded: "Find this comment offensive and bullying, please refrain from your comments on social media - REPORTED."
She later added: "Kristina Rianhoff you have been reported to the Police today 30th July 2015 and that is TRUE fact for the above."
The grandmother believed Kristina was calling her 'sick' |
A police spokesman told the Mirror Felicity was spoken to about social media comments but added: "There was nothing criminal."
Felicity went to court in March, accused of harassment by Ben and her son Austen Blaney but prosecutors dropped the case.
A source told the Mirror: "Felicity is vulnerable after being accused of harassing Ben.
"To be threatened with another possible harassment claim by his girlfriend she thought was a step too far. She found Kristina’s tweet offensive."
Kristina and Ben first met in 2013, when they were partnered together on Strictly Come Dancing.
Rugby ace Ben has since split from his wife Abby, 36, and last month it was confirmed he is now dating Kristina.
Fellow Strictly dancer Robin Windsor this week said the couple are "meant to be".
He said: "Sometimes people just fall in love and that's where she's at with it. I think she'll be happy with him.
"I don't know Ben well enough but I do trust her judgement. You can never predict the future and what will be will be. I think this is meant to be."
Robin continued to The Sun: "These things happen. People do split up and new relationships come together."
Kristina and Ben are currently in Turkey spending time with the rugby ace's two daughters.
