Destiny news includes Bungie's Year Two plans to massively update multiplayer and weapons
Destiny fans will see big changes in the Taken King update
DESTINY news today includes Bungie's plans to bring massive changes to the game's multiplayer and weapons in Year Two and The Taken King.

A new trailer out today shows some of the new action coming in the Taken King expansion, which is released on PlayStation and Xbox platforms September 15.
The new clip focuses on the battle to come against Oryx, the Taken King who has invaded the Solar System after the death of his son.
It also showed off a montage of cinematic cutscenes, pointing to a bigger emphasis on story than prior expansions, such as The Dark Below and House of Wolves.
And Bungie have slowly started revealing other facts about the upcoming DLC offering and Year Two in Destiny as a whole.
One area that is changing is the Crucible, with the introduction of a mercy rule to help those completely out-gunned to end unfair matches earlier.
Matchmaking is also being tweaked so that users will hopefully not have to use this feature too often and will allow for better syncing of teams.
The Gunsmith is to be given an reputation metre like other vendors, to make him more useful to more experienced Guardians.
Players rank up by borrowing guns from him and completing the bounty placed on them, handing them back in with a completed bounty will result in a reputation boost.
The ability to buy legendary items is directly linked to high reputation and will mean the vendor will have new stock to look at once a week.

And while players will no longer be able to upgrade exotics and legendary weapons from the previous year in the same way, unwanted items from the same gear slot can be used to upgrade a different item, making duplicate drops much handier.
It is clear that Bungie are looking to create a new game feel through The Taken King expansion and could prove very important if they hope to keep hold of their dedicated fanbase.
An earnings report released earlier today by Activision revealed the scope in which Destiny players have remained dedicated to the game.
The report reads: "Destiny now has over 2 billion hours of gameplay since launch, which amounts to an average 100 hours of gameplay for each of Destiny’s over 20 million registered players."
"On September 15, 2015, Activision Publishing and Bungie expect to release The Taken King, the largest update to the Destiny universe yet.
"The mega-expansion will include an all-new campaign, new sub-classes, a new destination, and more. Current players can digitally purchase the expansion for a suggested retail price of $39.99, while The Legendary Edition offers new players the original game, both expansion packs, and The Taken King for a suggested retail price of $59.99."
