JOSE MOURINHO will avoid censure from the Premier League after failing to turn up to a conference, according to reports.
A raft of top-flight bosses attended the summit in London on Tuesday.
It was thought that Mourinho had missed the conference, so as to avoid an awkward meeting with Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger.
But the Daily Mail claims Mourinho informed the Premier League of his absence.
Therefore, the Portuguese tactician won't be fined for his no-show.
Wenger snubbed the chance to shake Mourinho's hand in the aftermath of the Gunners' 1-0 Community Shield win last Sunday.
But Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore played down the incident.
He said: "What would be worse is a meaningless handshake where it meant nothing so at the end of the day it is an issue between two individuals.
"The authenticity is far more important. Shake hands if you mean it.
"If there is some enmity between you, that is for individuals to decide."
